Dominic Calvert-Lewin Poised to Extend Leeds United Stay Amid Manchester United Interest
England striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin is reportedly set to sign a new contract with Leeds United, potentially ending January transfer speculation.
According to BBC Sport, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, the England international striker, is expected to sign a new contract with Leeds United, securing his future at Elland Road beyond his current deal that runs until 2028.
Since joining Leeds on a free transfer from Everton, the 29-year-old has scored 20 goals in 49 appearances, establishing himself as a key player for the club.
The news is significant as Manchester United had been linked with a move for Calvert-Lewin in the January transfer window, especially after their forward Benjamin Sesko suffered a shin injury ruling him out for an extended period.
Calvert-Lewin has also been involved with the England national team recently, earning his 14th cap in October during a Nations League victory over the Czech Republic.
